ABOUT US

ASEPA is the official constituent chapter of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) representing PAs in the specialty of Endocrinology.

The organization was founded by three Endocrine PAs in 1999. In 2000, ASEPA was awarded formal recognition as a specialty chapter of the AAPA and gained non-profit organization status.

MEETINGS
ASEPA members meet twice a year at the following conferences: AAPA and AACE.
Throughout the year, board members communicate frequently via email and conference calls.
We are dedicated to the education, advancement, and placement of PAs in the field of Endocrinology. This will further provide enhanced accessibility to quality care with the current and future projected nationwide shortages of board certified Endocrinologists.

Additionally, ASEPA will continue to establish alliances with endocrine-related organizations to strengthen the PA / Endocrinologist team.

Our Mission Statement- ASEPA's vision is to enhance the health and well being of the people within the endocrine community through the presentation and advancement of the PA profession.

ASEPA will accomplish the above vision by:
-Fostering communication, knowledge, and scholarship within the PA community regarding endocrine disorders.
-Provide the organization’s general membership with a forum for informal assembly regarding issues related to the physician associates of the endocrine specialties.
-Develop and maintain a speaker’s bureau and job bank for ASEPA.
-Facilitate mutual assistance and support of physician associates, health professionals, and health services by organizing and disseminating health care information through forums, panels, and other similar programs concerning the delivery and quality of health care services within the endocrine community.
