Division of Endocrinology at Montefiore Medical Center is looking for a physician assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be working within a team of physicians and trainees of all levels (fellows, residents and medical students) and will assist in providing inpatient endocrine consult and outpatient care with a heavy focus on diabetes management. Prior experience is welcome but not necessary, we are happy to train enthusiastic candidates, including new graduates!
Salary range: $133,960 to $165,110

The Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing preventive and acute and chronic endocrine related health care services to patients ranging in age from 18 to geriatrics. The NP/PA will evaluate complex health histories and perform examinations, diagnose and treat from acute to chronic conditions of the patients. In addition, the provider will interpret laboratory results and X-rays, prescribe and manage medications and other therapies, provide health teaching and counseling to support healthy lifestyle behaviors, prevent illness and refer patients to other professionals as needed. The NP/PA provides high-quality, cost –effective and individualized care for the patients, families and communities.
